Exploring Options
As we considered the Arena’s relation to the Campus we developed what came to be called the “Candle” scheme. The modifications to the roof would be constructed of Kalwall translucent panels. During the day they would allow a soft glow on light in the space. At night…. they would be the beacons of the campus - altering everyone that a game is under way.
The Joy of a Sketch
This initial study of the “Candle” idea led to the construction of the study model. We enjoyed the strong presence of the arena in the sketch.
Relative Simplicity
Through our studies, we would start with simple ideas and develop them into more complex scheme.
